About the College Republicans at LSU
The College Republicans at LSU operate in Baton Rouge, Louisiana under the leadership of their current president Paul Dietzel II. Founded in 1962 by Morton Blackwell, the College Republicans have undergone many name changes. In 2006, Colorado Robertson (former president 04-05) and Paul Dietzel II (President, 05-06 and 07-08) removed Alliance from the name College Republican Alliance. Now, the club at LSU goes by College Republicans at LSU. The leadership of the club is broken down below.

- Director:
- “The Communications Department exist to promote and network on the campus and establish a good working relationship with all media outlets; including print advertisements, promotional items and any other items deemed necessary by the executive board.”

- Director:
- “The Campaigns Department exists to coordinate between the organization and various local, state and national campaigns; also for determining points of contact within various campaigns. “
- Fundraising
- Director:
- “The Fundraising Department exists to seek sponsorships, monetary donations, and other forms of support to promote the LSUCR. Department will perform activities and coordinate in order to obtain operating funds for LSUCR and special events. Shall report to the Finance Department with any funds and records obtained.”

- “Department of Membership shall be responsible for recruiting members for the organization; shall plan, coordinate and assemble the membership table; also responsible for collecting dues to be turned into the treasurer; shall be responsible for campus canvas; shall also be responsible for maintaining a current and accurate membership list that will be synchronized with the Department of Managements records monthly.”

- “Department Social Affairs shall execute social events planned by the organization; prepare estimates for social activities; and report to the executive board; plan, organize and administer all social events.”

- “Department of Greeks shall coordinate between the organization and the Greek system at LSU; recruit membership within the Greek system; serve as a liaison to fraternities and sororities; coordinate with the Social, Membership and Campaign Departments.”
