Roemer to Speak, Tonight at Mt. Hope Plantation

Former governor Buddy Roemer will headline the annual fall banquet of the
College Republicans at LSU at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Mount Hope Plantation, 8151
Highland Road, Baton Rouge.

Roemer, who served as the state’s governor from 1988-1992, currently is
president of University Villages, L.L.C.

Roemer is also a partner in the FG Group, an import-export company
concentrating in trade with Asian markets.

In 1998, Roemer helped found the largest de novo bank in Louisiana history.

Roemer served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1980 to 1988.

He graduated from Harvard College in 1964 and received his MBA degree from
Harvard Business School in 1967.
